If  you’re looking for the best apps currently available for Apple iPhones, iPads, or your Android Smartphones or Tablets, then you’re in the right place. This is the place for cool app reviews. What is ‘cool’ ? We assume you’ll know when you see it.

We all know there are thousands of cool apps currently available. Many are free.  Free apps doesn’t mean they are bad.  Many of the best apps are free.  There are also paid apps that try to offer more features and capabilities.  Some of those are wonderful apps that truly utilize the capabilities of the operating system platforms they are built on and the hardware they are built for.

Check out this video to learn how to create apps of all kinds for both iphones and ipads. It’s cool.

The biggest problem in general with apps is the rapidly changing environments they are found in.  You just have to look at the mad scramble of developers to get apps out of development and officially approved and listed on itunes or other app stores to fully appreciate the ‘rush’.  Call it a revolution if you like but there is certainly a seachange away from desktop computers and laptops to smaller more portable connected devices like iPhones, iPads, iTablets, and other smartphones.

Apple Computers owns the patents and licenses to their operating system called IOS 5.0 that currently drives the iPad 2.  It’s a major upgrade to their earlier more limited operating system for their first releases of iPhones and their 1st iPad.

iPad miniThere are also the naysayers and future-lookers who see the weaknesses of IOS 5.0 and look to Google’s Android Operating system to eventually dominate the landscape of cool apps.  It’s flexibility and ease of use and its big daddy developer (Google) willing to put some of its billions of dollars to work in order to assure it remains on the cutting edge of operating systems they say.  These critics may be correct in the long run but never rule out the considerably creative teams at Apple to make a solid platform that will guarantee each app will run as it is supposed to run.

No one of course knows exactly how this fast-changing environment will turn out.  All we know and all we care about really, is if the apps we download work as advertised on the platforms we have right now.  We also care about if our cool apps, including games, reference apps, word processing apps, photography apps,  organizing apps, powerpoint presentation apps, maps, and spreadsheet apps work for us and are easy and intuitive to use.  No one wants an app that requires us to read a large ‘how-to’ volume to get started on an app.  That’s old school. We want apps that we can get started on right after download and we need manuals that will give us tips on using the cooler capabilities of the app neatly organized and easy to implement.

Picking through apps or depending on star ratings of apps have some use in gauging whether others have downloaded the best apps but it doesn’t give us specific ideas of which apps are truly useful or easy to use.  This website is a starting point for visitors to discover cool apps for iPhones, iPads and Android smartphones and tablets. It cannot be exhaustive but will help you sort through the best apps and even hardware. It will help the visitor to keep up with the latest changes in the app world, hardware and software platforms.  We are glad to have you onboard.  Keep your eyes on cool app reviews as we explore various app categories.
